@dannysimoon My thoughts are that when a person avoids their death and delays their death date, (like misa and the girl) they get a whole new lifespan and a new death date. misa's life was extended but by how much? if her remaining life was halved, was the execution the new death date made by the halved life? she would have lived past the execution date otherwise rem wouldnt have died. then would she live till her old death date? then what about the girl the shinigami fell in love with, how much life would she get, she didnt make a deal. this is why i think they get a whole new death date regardless if they made the deal or not.
