For a better understanding of the programming itself it's best to start with c++, you could start with a high level language such as C# but you will have a hard time understanding the why of the things you do without a background of how things actually work.

C++ isnt nearly as enjoyable to learn as C# was for me. C# is also one the standard languages for unity so you can have more flexibility in what you can do with it imo

C++ is very bare bone. C# on the other hand more for usable stuff or frontend for example. I started with visual basic, and then moved to c# and java

C# to start creating usable things. When that is done, expand your knowledge as you please. You can learn c++, f# or whatever. To everyone telling that you should start with lowest language to learn basic... In that case start with asambley. You don't have to care about memory allocation and garbage collection at first. Those are nice features that you can learn, but in most real life apps it would be waste of time to bother with such things.

C++ is very bare bones, which is good to understand theory, c# do way too much for you and even if you manage to do more with it at first, the knowledge wont be as deep
